Dr. Njuguna joined Gusii Mental Health Awareness (GMA) during the May Mental Health Awareness campaign and now serves as the Deputy Chairperson. Her motivation stems from witnessing the suffering caused by limited mental health services and severe stigma, particularly among children and families in Kisii County. Dr. Njuguna specializes in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Workplace Mental Wellness, working tirelessly to enhance mental health services at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.
With GMA's support, Dr. Njuguna led impactful mental health campaigns, reducing stigma and encouraging individuals to seek help. Her dedication extends to advocating for mental well-being and ensuring that those with mental health conditions have access to high-quality services. Together with GMA and other stakeholders, she strives to fulfill GMA's vision: "There is no health in Gusii without Mental Health."
Counselling Psychologist and Peace Expert with a focus on Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Moses has advocated for mediation as a means of resolving conflicts outside of court. He has also been actively involved in mental health awareness initiatives in Kisii, Nyamira, and HomaBay Counties, collaborating with churches, schools, and government bodies.
Moses is a member of the Gusii Mediators Association and the Peer Counselors Association. He has paramilitary training from The National Youth Service (NYS) and has contributed to educational development in South Sudan by establishing schools in local villages.
Currently serving as the program Manager of the Gusii Mental Health Awareness Community-Based Organization (CBO), Moses remains dedicated to promoting mental health and peaceful conflict resolution in the community.

As an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Commissioner for Oaths, and a Notary Public, Jared is well-versed in the legal field. He's also an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Beyond his legal expertise, Jared is a passionate advocate for mental health. He is dedicated to combating the stigma surrounding mental health by promoting understanding within families, among friends, and throughout the wider community. With 17 years of nursing experience and over a decade as a state investigator, Dr. Samuel Gwaya is a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He also holds a leadership doctorate.
Dr. Gwaya specializes in helping individuals facing crises, including suicidal thoughts, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety, and depression. His dedication and compassion make him a trusted advocate for mental health.
